In my art practice, I seek to apply digital technologies as a tool to develop complex geometry that would be challenging to explore through traditional means. Symmetry forms a fundamental aspect of my work, with mirrored geometries and elements serving as building blocks for elaborate compositions. The iterative nature of digital-based media allows me to explore a large breadth of possibilities that ceramic shapes can achieve.
I strive to challenge the limits of any making process, accentuating a sense of precarity within my work. The geometries I design often use angles that place them on the edge of collapse, yet are sustained by the structure provided by the surface texture.
Central to my craft is the deliberate manipulation of color relationships. The vibrancy and contrasting elements create variety in how a piece will be perceived. Crafting multiples in varied colors offers viewers an entirely fresh perspective to engage with each piece. My art invites viewers to explore the delicate balance between structure and fragility, color and form, offering a journey through the intricate worlds of digital exploration and tangible creation.
